Join your local land trust at North Haven Event Center (formerly Ageya) in Homer for a night of food, drinks, storytelling, and FUNdraising. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Learn practical job skills for becoming a deckhand on any vessel in one weekend at Kachemak Bay Campus in Homer. Deckhand Skills runs November 7 through 9 and includes safety & survival skills, line handling, knots, gear orientation, basic navigation, crew roles, helm, wheelhouse expectations, and more. The cost is $150 and scholarships are available through the Homer Marine Trades Association for qualifying individuals. Join us for an insightful community presentation with Homer local, Wendy Weber, as she shares practical tools for mindfulness and meditation. Whether you or your child are navigating stress, anxiety, perfectionism, or major life transitions, Wendy will guide participants in simple strategies to cultivate clarity, peace, and empowerment. This is a welcoming space to explore self-awareness and self-compassion as pathways to more joyful living.
After, we’ll have an hour of Yin Yoga led by Metis Riley. As always, free soup and bread will be provided, and all are welcome!
The Homer Youth String Orchestra Club presents their annual Spooky Strings Concert on October 29th, at 5:30pm, in the Homer High School Commons. This spooktacular event will feature the world premier of Bowing, Breaking by composer Bill White. Come see what our HYSOC Overtures, Scherzos, and Codas have been up to and be ready for a scary good time! Costumes are encouraged and refreshments will be served after the concert.
Bingo hosted by the Homer Emblem Club #350. Must be 19 years old to play by Alaska State law.
We play 10 bingo games and give out door prizes.There are hot dogs, soda and chips available for purchase.

Have you seen the more than 100 pink flags flying around Homer and Anchor Point? They honor those who have experienced breast cancer and remind us that early detection - such as clinical breast exams and mammograms - saves lives.Local businesses and individuals are sponsoring the flags to support access to breast cancer screening at KBFPC which provides reproductive healthcare regardless of ability to pay.
