Support KBBI

KBBI programming is brought to you by individuals who are members, local businesses and organizations. Your support provides our community with the public radio programming that enhances our collective understanding and appreciation of events, ideas and cultures; broadening our horizon and bringing us together.

Your contribution keeps KBBI strong and on the air — now and into the future. Programming you enjoy like "Morning Edition," "BBC World Service," "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!" and locally produced shows like "Coffee Table" and local newscasts are made possible because of financial contributions from listeners who support KBBI.

And don't forget to like us on Facebook to get quick news and emergency updates and more.

Thank you for supporting your local public radio station - giving voice to the community.

Business Support

Business Support: Underwriting programming on KBBI identifies your organization and business as a KBBI supporter with a clear on-air message to a weekly listening audience of 5,710. Your underwriting dollars are tax-deductible. Read more and see a list of current underwriters and Business Circle Members.

Business Circle Membership: KBBI’s Business Circle Memberships are ideal for companies looking to support public radio and get a little bit of air time as well, but don't want or need regular on-air messaging. For $500 a year, business names will be recognized on-air twice per day during the membership drives. Company information (with a link to the business website) will be listed KBBI’s website for one year.

In addition to having your business recognized during KBBI’s Membership Drives, your business will be recognized on-air once a week. Your company’s name will be mentioned along with other, up to three, Business Circle members.

Example: “KBBI thanks Business Circle Members including Captain’s Coffee, The Yukon in Seward, and Mako’s Water Taxi. Independent businesses supporting independent radio. Find out more at kbbi.org.”

Businesses are allowed to have only their name read on the air, but if a business is not easily identifiable by name alone, then clarification may be added. Businesses will be aired at various times from 5 a.m. to midnight. We are not able to guarantee when business names will be announced.

If you prefer more choice in when your business is announced on air, please consider an Underwriting Contract.
