August 20th, marked the beginning of the school year for all students in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. In Homer, students welcomed the new High School principal, Eric Pederson. Some Kenai Peninsula homeowners could pay less in property taxes under a ballot proposition going before voters in October.
