Seward Police arrested a man and charged him with second-degree terroristic threatening on Tuesday. The Homer Movie Theater, a longtime community fixture, has new owners. This week is the Kenai Silver Salmon Derby, an annual fishing event that aims to harm less fish than traditional derbies.

The 8th annual Kenai Silver Salmon Derby kicked off Tuesday, and Wednesday marked 23 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S.’ East Coast. The Kenai Fire Department held a memorial service to honor the lives lost, including the firefighters who died rescuing people.
