HCOA presents the Darjeeling Tea Party.
Learn about the origins of Darjeeling and the differences in flavor and color different harvesting seasons bring, while tasting two different flushes of Darjeeling.
Tea will be accompanied by savory and sweet treats, and a dessert silent auction.

Find your next collection of treasured books at discount prices from an assortment of gently used books including: books for kids, YA, fiction, non-fiction, birds, science, cookbooks, art, travel and more. Choose from a wide variety of healthy house plants and a few garden varieties to green up your home or gift to a friend. All proceeds benefit Friends of the Homer Public Library whose mission is to provide volunteer support for library programs and services, to raise funds that enrich the library experience, and to promote the use and enjoyment of the library.Want to get first pick of the lot? Come to our Members-Only Pre-Sale on Friday, May 10th from 6-8pm. We are now accepting good quality book donations at the library. Please NO textbooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs or books that are soiled or damaged. Please call the library ahead of time to schedule large book donations (several boxes) at 235-3180.
Potted plant donations may be dropped off at the Library on May 9th and 10th. Now is the time to re-pot or plant your starts/plant cuttings.

The proceeds from this event and auction directly support the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies' mission and help raise vital funds to support our programming efforts. You'll be making a real difference for the next generation of stewards who will work to explore, connect, and protect the lands and waters we call home. Don your finest ocean-inspired attire and enjoy a night of fun and philanthropy with friends old and new!
