Seward's He Will Provide Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 3pm to 6pm. He Will Provide is located at 238 5th Ave in the basement of the City Annex building. The entrance is in the back. This is an emergency assistance food pantry.He Will Provide will be open Tuesday, November 21st from 3 to 6. He Will Provide will not be open on Thursday the 23rd. Happy Thanksgiving!
Come play soccer, shoot hoops, toss a ball, ride a scooter, play ping pong, or bring a (clean) scooter or strider bike to ride around on, and just be active! This is your time to do what you’d like in an open environment. This class is $4.00 pp and is open to all ages (unaccompanied minors must be at least in 3rd grade w/ parents' permission & signing of SPARC waiver).
Sorry, NO roller skates, skateboards, or pedal bikes w/ brakes are allowed at this time.

The City of Homer is hosting a Community Open House on Thursday, November 6, from 6 – 8 p.m. to share information about Homer’s zoning code and to get local feedback about potential revisions. Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960s as a children's backyard game. ***ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME!*** Price of class is $6 for adults and $4 for youth 12+/students/military/veterans/seniors 62+.
Classes are available for adults and teens (12+) on Tues/Thurs/Fri from 9:30-11:30am, Thursdays from 6:45-8:45pm, & Sundays from 10am-1pm. There is also a "Saturday Night Challenge" class on Saturdays from 5-8pm.

This is an open time to come walk or run indoors and not have to worry about the conditions outside. We will have background music playing over the speakers. Come get your stroll on!
Open to adults & teens (12+) Tues-Fri from 8:30-9:30am and Tues-Fri from 11:45am-12:45pm. Cost is $4.00 per session. (It is also okay to bring a child in a stroller to walk)

Hospice of Homer is partnering with Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska to offer Virtual Dementia Tours, Friday, November 7th (by appointment), from 11 am to 2 pm at the Hospice of Homer office. The tour is a powerful and life-changing experience, allowing participants to step into the shoes of someone with Alzheimer's disease. The tour is 30 minutes long. We're excited to offer this Chair Mobility & Stretching class to our schedule! This class will be 30-min long on Mondays & Fridays from 12:45-1:15pm and the cost is $2 to the instructor (Maria or Rowan).
"Chair Yoga" is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. Chair yoga classes typically target those with physical disabilities or aging men/women who find a typical yoga session too challenging. It is also a great form of yoga for beginners or anyone who wants to focus on a gentle practice.

HCOA is seeking performers to entertain shoppers at the 2025 Nutcracker Faire. If you are a solo musician, ensemble, or other type of performer and are interested in performing in the Homer High School Commons stage during the Nutcracker Faire, please fill out a submission form below.
