Last night, Homer Police responded to a vehicle collision with a moose near Mattox Street on East End Road; winter kicked off with a snowstorm early in the season in parts of the Kenai Peninsula and greater Anchorage; and a magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck about 58 miles southwest of Unalaska yesterday afternoon.
