A cyclist from Homer came out on top at the U.S Professional Road Race Championship last Sunday, the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly greenlit efforts to acquire land for South Peninsula Hospital, and for the first time ever, an Alaska woman has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences.
