An Anaktuvuk Pass woman’s new book “Eagle Drums” has gotten a nod from the American Library Association’s prestigious Newbery Award, and the Kachemak Nordic Ski Club hosted races for the Besh Cup earlier this month at the Ohlson Mountain trail system in Homer.
