A contentious battle over books is playing out in Homer. Homer’s Library Advisory Board is deciding what to do with more than 50 children’s books with LGBTQ themes; and a young moose fell through a basement in Soldotna on Sunday, requiring local responders to guide it out of the home.

The production of the local morning newscast is made possible by the generous support of the Homer Foundation.

Kathleen Gustafson came to Homer in 1999 and has been involved with KBBI since 2003. She is responsible for all aspects of local program and content creation, on-air and on-line, for KBBI.
