A selection of new, unpublished works by (mostly) Alaskan playwrights.
Produced by Christine Kulcheski & Rudy Multz
It’s the third year of the 10 Minute play festival. You’ve become intrigued, piqued, obsessed even, but still, you’ve only been able to make the effort to spectate. Until now… You’ve unlocked a door with the key of imagination and beyond this plane there lies something enticing, something bizarre, something unbelievably compelling. Whoever the characters, whatever the plot, by some impossible twist, you can’t let go, you can’t walk away, you’re being drawn in…into Another Dimension.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Homer, Alaska – Carla Klinker exhibits Luminous Threads at Bunnell Street Arts Center from September 4 – September 29, 2026. The exhibit opens on First Friday, September 4th from 5-7pm with an artist talk at 6pm. Klinker hosts a two-day nettle weaving workshop on September 8 & 10th, from 530-830 pm at Bunnell Street Arts Center.
Artist Statement:
“This body of work marks an intentional shift toward art-making that begins with love and seeks to illuminate invisible threads of connection. Luminous Threads explores the delicate balance between overwhelming complexity and profound connection. The centrality of light provides an organizing structure within the expanse of natural networks.
Through images of light filtering through branching structures, free-form organic forms, and hand-woven strands of natural fiber, this collection traces the hidden architecture underlying my emotional and sensory landscapes, and maps an ecology of interconnectedness.
At the center of these works, glowing circles and illuminated paths emerge from the shadows, offering a place of refuge and direction. They are invitations to pause, to breathe, and to experience awe—not by untangling the wildness around us, but by finding love, clarity, and peace within it.” – Carla Klinker

Learn ways of working with nettle. During this two-day workshop on September 8th and 10th from 5:30-8:30pm at Bunnell, you’ll learn about nettle’s history and dive into the raw material – harvesting, processing, and creating your own cordage to take home and/or join in collaborative net-building. All supplies provided, bring a snack to share. Responsible teens and adults only. Limit to 12. Sliding scale, $80-$120. Scholarships available.
Working with nettles is a seasonal and tactile process that invites community connectivity. The long bast fiber of stinging nettle, Urtica dioica, has been used to make string and cloth for thousands of years across the world. Nettle grows wild and abundant. In folklore, magical nettle garments appear often as powerful symbols of perseverance, devotion, protection, and transformation.
