Local dancers are performing a ballet version of Alice in Wonderland this weekend at Homer High School’s Mariner Theatre, and community members are invited to come dressed to the theme.

“I've got paintings from 60 below and 20 knot winds from Greenland and the ice cap,” said artist David Rosenthal. “You know if you've ever tried plein air painting with oils, they turn to crayons at about minus five.”

The Homer Theatre kicks off its 18th Annual Documentary Film Festival Thursday night. It marks the culmination of the 2022 Alaska World Arts Festival, which takes place over two weeks every fall.
