Since 2021, the Kenai Watershed Forum has visited more than 50 streams and lakes throughout the central Kenai Peninsula to determine where anadromous fish, such as salmon, can be found. The combination of an El Niño year with record-high sea surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean has climatologists concerned about fall and winter storms along Alaska’s coast. Three Anchorage teens will be in North Carolina next month to present at theWorld Anti-Bullying Forum as part of the non-partisan organization Youth Vote.
