Please come to the Kachemak Bay State Park Citizen Advisory Board meeting. It meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Islands and Oceans Visitor Center in Homer, at 530 pm. We need your ideas and input regarding all that is happening with Kachemak Bay State Park.
Join us for a Wellness Wednesday with Sprout Family Services, led by Executive Director Jon McGhee and Early Learning Manager Tara Hagge. This session will highlight how Sprout supports children and families birth to five through early intervention services, meaningful resource connections, and caregiver wellness strategies.
After, we’ll have an hour of tai chi led by Rowan Mulvey. Rowan has led groups of people in motion for over 25 years here in Homer, including Dance, Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, physical training, senior and aquatic exercise. Tai Chi helps us develop and strengthen our mindfulness and movement awareness and capabilities. The practice meets each one of us wherever we are at each day, each breath, each moment.
As always, free soup and bread will be provided, and all are welcome!
We're excited to be able to bring our Ping Pong / Table Tennis class back to SPARC on Wednesdays from 5:45-6:45pm. Open to adults & kids (8 yo & up w/ parents' permission & signing of SPARC waiver) and the cost is $4. We currently have 2 tables available.

We play 10 bingo games and give out door prizes.There are hot dogs, soda and chips available for purchase.
Futsal is an exciting, fast paced, FIFA recognized indoor soccer game played on a hard surface. Teams are comprised of 5 players (4-field+keeper).
This class is on Wednesdays & Sundays from 6:45-8:45pm and Fridays from 6-8pm

The Sandhill Cranes start arriving this month, so keep an eye on big birds coming into Homer. Send your Sandhill Crane sightings to Kachemak Crane Watch. The City of Homer is accepting public comment on the draft Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) for the Homer Education and Recreation Complex (HERC).
