Erickson Discusses Hopes for City Council Term

Shelly Erickson was elected to Homer City Council during the regular municipal election on Oct. 4, and sworn into office at Monday’s City Council meeting. She will serve for a three-year term. KBBI News Director, Daysha Eaton talks with Erickson about her hopes for her term on the council.

New Homer City Council Members Erickson and Tom Stroozas along with new Homer Mayor Bryan Zak will participate in the next regular Homer City Council meeting on Monday, Oct. 24.

Daysha Eaton holds a B.A. from Evergreen State College, and a M.A. from the University of Southern California. Daysha got her start in radio at Seattle public radio stations, KPLU and KUOW. Before coming to KBBI, she was the News Director at KYUK in Bethel. She has also worked as the Southcentral Reporter for KSKA in Anchorage.
