The Alaska Center for Resource Families (ACRF) invites individuals and families across Alaska to a supportive orientation for those interested in becoming resource parents.
Orientation is the first step to becoming a foster or adoptive parent in Alaska. Join us for a presentation about becoming a foster parent for the Office of Children’s Services. Licensing staff will be in attendance to answer questions.
The orientation will:
Explain the mission and function of the Office of Children’s Services (OCS)Define the term “resource family”Outline the steps to become licensedReview the application processClarify available supports
Resource family orientation is held over Zoom.

This is an open time to come walk or run indoors and not have to worry about the conditions outside. We will have background music playing over the speakers. Come get your stroll on!

Seward's He Will Provide Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 3pm to 6pm. He Will Provide is located at 238 5th Ave in the basement of the City Annex building. The entrance is in the back. This is an emergency assistance food pantry.He Will Provide will be open Tuesday, November 21st from 3 to 6. He Will Provide will not be open on Thursday the 23rd. Happy Thanksgiving!

The Anchor Point Food Pantry Food Line is open on Fridays from 4-6pm with a food line and a meal.We provide a weekly food line and meals, monthly TEFAP commodities, holiday food boxes, summer produce, hungry kids' weekend meal packs and a kids' summer lunch bag program. When hunger weighs heavily, it’s hard to focus, hard to thrive, and hard to stay well.
