Reimagine how we share public space by joining us for a sit-down Dinner in the Street on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 in Old Town from 4-8 pm. This 100-person dinner is made possible by the generous Old Town community and supportive Homer businesses to benefit the mission of Bunnell Street Arts Center.
Join this outdoor dinner at a 100-person, family-style table staged in the street. Guests feast on a luscious locally-sourced seafood bouillabaisse paired with delectable appetizers in the heart of Old Town, Homer. This unique event is generously made possible by Citizen Salmon, Two Sisters Bakery, The Kannery, Fat Olive’s, Cosmic Kitchen, La Baleine Cafe, Homer Brewing Company, The Grog Shop, Cosmic Cannabis and more.
Guests park at the Islands and Ocean Visitor Center and walk down Beluga Slough Trail to east Bunnell Avenue for dinner. Handicap parking available at the Homer Public Health Building. Dress Alaska hardy! Tickets are $100, available here.
Dinner in the Street spotlights the “Giving Gallery” a virtual space featuring artwork donated by collectors downsizing their home collections. Funds raised by the sale of these artworks support artist micro-grants like the Alex Combs Scholarship and the Artist Emergency Fund administered by Bunnell Street Arts Center.
Appetizers for the Dinner will be served on borrowed and donated Plate Project artplates. Donated art plates – including masterpieces of the Plate Project collection since 1994 – will be available for sale through the Giving Gallery.
*In the case of inclement weather, dinner will be served at the Methodist Church. Any weather announcement will be made by 12PM the day of the event.
Additional thanks to the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, Homer Chamber of Commerce, Homer Council on the Arts and Land’s End Resort.
