The three men running for a three-year seat on the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly representing District 9, the South Peninsula, faced off in another online candidate forum Wednesday night, this one presented by the Homer Chamber of Commerce.

The candidates, Ashton Callahan, Dawson Slaughter and Michael Tupper answered a variety of questions, from if the borough should follow in the city of Homer’s footsteps and institute a plastic bag ban, to how they would help the business community accommodate more seasonal employees in the area.

In this exchange, moderator Brad Anderson, the chamber’s executive director, asked about economic growth. Tupper answered first, followed by Callahan, and then Slaughter.
