Mother And Daughter Celebrate Vietnam Vets

Tuesday was the third Vietnam Veterans Day in a row to be celebrated in Alaska. It was also the third year a mother and daughter from Homer stood inside a local Homer park waving signs supporting Vietnam Vets at passing commuters. President Obama made Vietnam Veterans Day a national holiday in 2012. In 2013 Alaska Governor Sean Parnell followed suit by proclaiming March 29th Vietnam Veterans Day in Alaska. KBBI’s Quinton Chandler visited Christie Hill and her daughter Mckenzie in WKFL Park Tuesday.
