Coffee Table: 'Living Alaska: A Decade of Collecting Contemporary Art for Alaska Museums

Courtesy of the Pratt Museum.

On this week's Coffee Table we talked about Alaska Art, specifically the exhibit, “Living Alaska: A Decade of Collecting Contemporary Art for Alaska Museums” which opens Friday, February 26th at the Pratt Museum in Homer. It’s a collection of art by and for Alaskans. The Rasmuson Foundation has supported the collection of these works since 2003. This retrospective of that initiative premiered in Anchorage back in November. We were joined by Pratt Museum Curator, Scott Bartlett and Homer artist, Marjorie Scholl, whose piece is traveling and will be displayed in the show. The show also included a pre-recorded interview with Exhibit Curator, Sven Haakanson.
