The City of Homer is accepting public comment on the draft Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) for the Homer Education and Recreation Complex (HERC). The ABCA evaluates five cleanup alternatives for the HERC property to remediate Hazardous Building Materials and support future redevelopment of this brownfield property.

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960s as a children's backyard game. ***ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME!***

Classes are available for adults and teens (12+) on Tues/Thurs/Fri from 9:30-11:30am, Tuesdays from 6:45-8:45pm, Saturdays from 5-8pm. & Sundays from 9:30am-12pm. We suggest look at our current schedule online for any possible time changes.

Free Monthly Community Event: Coffee & Craft in the HCOA Studio- We provide the space, tools (& caffeine!) to create and explore new artistic mediums for people of all ages and abilities. We want to encourage artists to experiment and share their knowledge, forging connections between Homer artists to deepen our understanding of art and each other. Futsal is an exciting, fast paced, FIFA recognized indoor soccer game played on a hard surface. Teams are comprised of 5 players (4-field+keeper).

This class is on Wednesdays & Sundays from 6:45-8:45pm and Fridays from 6-8pm

Futsal is an exciting, fast paced, FIFA recognized indoor soccer game played on a hard surface. Teams are comprised of 5 players (4-field+keeper). Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for students (14+)/military/veterans/seniors 62+.

This class is on Wednesdays & Sundays from 6:45-8:45pm and Fridays from 6-8pm.

This is an open time to come walk or run indoors and not have to worry about the conditions outside. We will have background music playing over the speakers. Come get your stroll on!
