Parlor in the Round w/ Quinn Christopherson, Samantha Crain & Dylan Smith
Bunnell Arts by Air presents Parlor in the Round at The Porcupine Theatre on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 7pm. TICKETS $25 advance / $30 door / $50 pay it forward via The Porcupine Theater.
Hosted by Anchorage musician Kevin Worrell, Parlor in the Round occurs monthly around the state and features three guest musicians who explore songcraft in Alaska’s own ‘mountain-stage’ style live broadcast performance. Musical guests for this program are Quinn Christopherson, Samantha Crain and Homer’s own Dylan Smith.
Quinn Christopherson is an Ahtna Athabascan and Iñupiaq songwriter, born, raised, and based in Anchorage, Alaska. Christopherson won NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2019 with his song “Erase Me.” Samantha Crain is a Choctaw Nation songwriter, musician, producer, and singer whose album, “A Small Death” ranked #25 on NPR’s 50 BEST ALBUMS OF 2020. Dylan Smith is a Homer based musician, producer, sound technician, who has played with numerous beloved local bands as well as performing as a solo artist.
Parlor in the Round shows borrow from the guitar pull tradition of porches and campfires. Songwriters from all walks of Alaskan life (and some beyond) trade songs and stories as they are inspired by each other in these musical collaboration shows. After the intermission, tradition is cast aside as the musicians dive into jocular inventions and premeditated musings based on written submissions from the audience.
