HCOA is looking for wheel throwers and handbuilders to help us give back to our community by creating bowls for the 2024 Empty Bowls fundraiser supporting the Homer Food Pantry.

Come to one, two, or all three of workdays to help us give back while helping you improve your skills, these three events are great opportunities for growing potters to gain experience through practice.

*These events are only open to former or current participants of HCOA’s ceramics class series, not stand alone workshop attendees.

**All bowls made during the bowl bash events will be donated to the Homer Food Pantry Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Monday, October 21st from 6-9pm: Pottery Throw Down!
Join us in the HCOA Studio for an evening of creating! Using the wheel or handbuilding, we invite you to help us create as many bowls as we can.

Friday, October 25th from 6-9pm: Trim-a-thon!
During the second evening, help us trim, decorate, or just clean up all the empty bowls before the enter a bisque firing.

Sunday, November 3rd from 12-3pm: Glaze Party!
For our last get together, help us glaze up our empty bowls and make them pretty!
