Homer Friendship Terrace clears two-weeks of coronavirus tests

CDC

In a press release Tuesday afternoon, Homer Senior Citizens Incorporated announced that its staff and facilities have been cleared of the COVID-19 virus.

According to Executive Director Keren Kelly, there have been two consecutive weeks of negative coronavirus tests for all employees and residents of the Friendship Terrace assisted living facility.

Two employees had tested positive for COVID-19, and one 87-year-old resident had a false-positive before subsequent tests showed she was not infected.

Kelly closes her press release with a plea for more help from the public.

“This is not political,” Kelly said. “Please wear face coverings in public and practice the six foot distancing.”
