If you’ve noticed an increase in burly men wearing kilts in Homer today, it’s because they’re here for a full weekend of Scottish Highland Games competition.
Robert Archibald is the local organizer. He spoke with KBBI’s Jay Barrett about what the Highland Games will entail.
Other events include a children’s division, with appropriately smaller and lighter things for them to throw, and there will be a pair of harp players and a Celtic band promising some rollicking dance music.
The games are being held at Karen Hornaday Park starting at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
