Fire update: 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019

The North Fork Fire is now surrounded by a containment line and at Caribou Lake, additional crew arrived today to try and establish a line around the hundred acre fire. KBBI's Kathleen Gustafson spoke with
Public Information Officer Sarah Saarloos, from the AK Division of Forestry at 3 p.m. for this update.

Kathleen Gustafson came to Homer in 1999 and has been involved with KBBI since 2002. She is the producer and host of the weekly public affairs call-in show, Coffee Table and produces special projects for the station. Kathleen is also the Director of Youth Theater at Pier One Theatre in Homer and a commercial fisher.
