"Inspired by Diaries" Reimagines Historical, Personal Writings

"Flash Flood." Inspired by the artist's diary from a road trip to Alaska in 1950. A trapper warned the family to move away from their encampment for fear of a flash flood from the valley above. Displayed with copy of original journal page.

The “Inspired by Diaries” exhibit opened at the Pratt Museum on Nov. 11. The exhibit combines excerpts from personal diaries with original artwork based on the entries.

Scott Bartlett is the curator of exhibits at the Pratt Museum. KBBI Reporter Shahla Farzan sat down with Bartlett to talk more about the exhibit.

The “Inspired by Diaries” exhibit at the Pratt Museum runs through Dec. 31.
