Newly elected President of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly, Kelly Cooper, says she wants the Assembly to fix their invocation policy by the deadline that the ACLU of Alaska has set. That’s November 28th. KBBI News Director, Daysha Eaton talks with Assembly President Kelly Cooper about the issue.

The next meeting of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22 at 6 p.m. at the George A. Navarre Administration Building in Soldotna. At that meeting the two new ordinances will be introduced – one from Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor Mike Navarre proposing that $75,000 be set aside for legal costs related to the invocation policy and another proposed by Assembly President Kelly Cooper and Assembly member Dale Bagely, which attempts to fix the policy.
