Portrait of a Seaweed Farmer - World Wildlife Fund Film Screening

Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District in collaboration and local support from with WWF, SWAMC, Kachemak Kelp, the Homer Chamber, and Salmon Sisters to hold a film screening that showcases mariculture and seaweed farming. One of the short films features Kodiak Kelp Farmer, Nick Mangini; perspective is also given to the industry growth that Alaska is experiencing. There will be an opportunity to connect with local farmers, network with mariculture industry experts, and learn about this rapidly growing industry on Tuesday, August 20th from 5-7pm at the Salmon Sister’s Fish Shop at the end of the Homer Spit.
