Marine Mammals of Alaska with Dr. Debbie Tobin starts March 22

Attention Kenai Peninsula residents. Marine Mammals of Alaska with Dr. Debbie Tobin and Marc Webber starts March 22 and includes amazing field trips out of Homer, Kenai, and Seward. You can learn about the marine mammals found in our area, throughout Alaskan waters, and along our coasts, studying with some of our most engaging naturalists through classroom lectures in person at Kachemak Bay Campus in Homer, or in the comfort of your home via zoom. The field trips include a trip on Kachemak Bay and in Halibut Cove Lagoon documenting harbor porpoises and other marine mammals, an afternoon in Kenai/Soldotna monitoring beluga whales and sampling eDNA on the Kenai River, and a Spring Wildlife Cruise on Resurrection Bay out of Seward. Classes will meet from 5:15 to 7:30 pm on Wednesdays from March 22 to May 3. For more information about this two-credit class call Kachemak Bay Campus at (907) 235-7743.
