Homer Community Recreation is sponsoring a Lost Wax Jewelry Casting class by Homer Artist Art Koeninger Friday evening, Oct. 27, through Sunday afternoon, Oct. 29. The process involves sculpting an original in wax, which is then cast into silver in a multi-step process. The one-of-a-kind casting is then finished & polished. Students can later pursue this technique without a large investment in equipment. $150 fee includes waxes and casting supplies, use of tools and casting equipment, and community recreation fee.
