Grewingk Glacier Lake Field Trip with Dr. Ed Berg, Saturday, April 18

Join local Geologist and Kachemak Bay expert, Dr. Ed Berg, for a hike to Grewingk Glacier Lake on Saturday, April 18. The class will meet at 7:45 am in Homer Harbor, at the foot of Ramp 2, for a trip across the Bay. The hike will start on Glacier Spit, continue up the outwash plain to the glacial lake, and then over the Saddle Trail, ending on the east side of Halibut Cove Lagoon for boat pickup at 6 pm. Bring lunch, water, rain gear, sandals, and good hiking boots. Return to the Harbor by 6:30 pm. $135 includes a guided hike and a round-trip boat ride.
