Good Energy in 2024: Bills to build our renewable future

Good Energy in 2024: Bills to build our renewable future
A community learning and strategizing session on Renewable Portfolio Standards and Community Solar legislation

2024 is already being called the year of energy for our State Legislature. Join Cook Inletkeeper to learn about two exciting renewable energy bills contributing to this distinction.

First, we will dig into Renewable Portfolio Standards, as written in House Bill 121 and Senate Bill 101, which would create enforceable renewable energy targets from Homer to Fairbanks. Second, we will discuss Senate Bill 152, which enables Alaskans to purchase shares in community-owned solar arrays. We will wrap the evening up by strategizing how we as constituents can fight for these bills and build a more affordable, clean and independent local energy system.

Come at 5:30 to share a soup meal, the meeting will kick off at 6pm.
