Forest to Kitchen: Guided Foraging & Cooking Class

Forest to Kitchen: Guided Foraging & Cooking Class

When: Saturday, August 26th. Foraging 10:00 -1:00 pm, Cooking 5:00 - 7:30 pm

Where: Foraging on a KHLT protected property in Homer & cooking at The Classic Cook at 378 E Pioneer Ave, Homer, Alaska

What: On Saturday morning, we'll meet at KHLT's office to carpool to one of our special protected properties in Homer. A local foraging guide will take us through the property as we learn about and harvest edible plants. After a midday break, we will meet at The Classic Cook for a three-course, interactive cooking class led by Chef Teri Robl featuring our morning's harvest, local salmon, and wine paring suggestions. Just want to forage? Only want to cook? No problem! You can purchase a ticket for foraging, or cooking, or both! This event is limited to 12 attendees per activity. Join us in learning about eating local while supporting the work KHLT does to save land here on the Kenai Peninsula.
