This course takes place June 26 & 28 beginning at 10 am at Kachemak Bay Campus and is for families who want to get out on the water this year, but are nervous about ways to do so safely. We will be covering basic marine safety with a special focus on bringing kids up on the water.
KBC would like to thank the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) for the use of their curriculum which includes tying knots and docking techniques, risk assessment, cold water survival skills, how to use a VHF radio, types of emergency signals including flares, and their proper use and more. $75 per person.
