In the middle of summer in 2003, Dan Bigley was wrapping up a stellar day of salmon fishing on Alaska’s Russian River when a bear charged him out of the blue and radically changed his life forever. Blind and disfigured, Dan faced a long, painful journey of healing, and his story of survival transcends all expectations as each layer is revealed
Come to Kachemak Bay Campus on Saturday, October 5 at 6:00 pm and hear about Dan’s incredible journey from the brink of death to rebuilding a life that includes a master’s degree in social work from the University of Alaska-Anchorage, becoming president and CEO of Denali Family Services, and creating a beautiful family of his own.
