About the Author:
The Alaska Glacier Dictionary was the outcome of many year's research. Klouda raised in Anchorage and a long-time Alaska journalist is the author of "Anna's Whale," a novella set in village Alaska in this time of climate change. Klounda lives in Homer where some may remember her as an editor/reporter at the Homer Tribune. Prior to that, she worked at newspapers all over Alaska where she frequently came into contact with glacier stories and questions about their status - Are they melting? How did they get their names? What stories are attached to the glaciers? Klouda’s book answers questions she encountered and led to many other questions/answers. It was a fascinating research project!
