Pine Grosbeak and White-winged Crossbills

White-winged Crossbills and Pine Grosbeaks are just two of the many bird species that spend the winter in the woods of the southern Kenai Peninsula. They are similar in appearance, but on close inspection have clear differences, particularly in the beak.
