Stinging Nettles

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

Stinging nettles are amongst the first spring plants in the Kachemak Bay area, and are harvested widely, for both edibility and medicinal qualities. Cooking early spring nettles removes the sting, and can be used similarly to cooked spinach, but also has been used to make tea.
