15th Annual Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference Begins Friday

The 2016 Kachemak Bay Writers Conference kicks off this Friday. With 17 presenters including keynote speaker, two-time U.S. Poet Laureate – Natasha Trethewey. KBBI News Director Daysha Eaton talks with Carol Swartz, Director of the Kachemak Bay Campus of Kenai Peninsula College-UAA, who also coordinates the Conference. Registration for the conference is open until 5 p.m. Thursday.

Daysha Eaton holds a B.A. from Evergreen State College, and a M.A. from the University of Southern California. Daysha got her start in radio at Seattle public radio stations, KPLU and KUOW. Before coming to KBBI, she was the News Director at KYUK in Bethel. She has also worked as the Southcentral Reporter for KSKA in Anchorage.
