Do you have a minute to end domestic violence?

Hi, this is Jesse Felice from Haven House with your Green Dot Minute.

To find out about Green Dot training and events in Homer, search for Green Dot Homer on your favorite social media platform or contact South Peninsula Haven House at (907) 299-7712.

This week's Green Dot example is about reactive Green Dots.

Consider realistic options. If you are a bystander in a situation where something seems off to you, or that seems to be escalating into severity, could you be direct with the people involved?

Could you delegate to someone else who could help? Could you distract them by asking for directions or do you use their phone? So the situation is interrupted?

Always consider your own safety and think of what will be the most realistic action for you to do.

Green Dot is simply your individual choice, at any given moment, to make our community safer.
Please join us next Wednesday on Pioneer Avenue in Homer from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  for a scavenger hunt of prizes.
