Alaska Division of Forestry Area Forester Hans Rinke hosted a presentation/Q&A on Wednesday, April 19th at The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies. He gave an update on the spruce aphid infestation first reported in Homer in 2015. Rinke says no live spruce aphids were found during their most recent sampling.
