What I have done is contact the City of Homer and asked them if there were questions that they would like addressed or issues they would like to hear about and also I contacted our sister station up in Kenai, KDLL to see what they might like so I can share this interview with them as well.

Senator Lisa Murkowski met with the citizens of Homer, and a few folks from Anchorage, on Friday, July 7th.  Over 100 people attended. Most questions and comments were about health care and almost every person who spoke about health care in Alaska advocated for a single payer system.  Click on the link for audio of the complete meeting.

Margaret Stock: All Work No Party

Margaret Stock is running for U.S. Senate as an Independent candidate, challenging Republican incumbent Lisa Murkowski who has been in office since 2002. The Harvard graduate is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and has served in the Army Reserve. In 2013 she was awarded a MacArthur Genius Fellowship for her work on immigration and national security. Stock campaigned in Kenai, Soldotna, and Homer on Sept. 21 and 22.

Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski visited Homer on Oct. 14, speaking to a packed room at Land’s End Resort.

As part of her statewide election tour, Murkowski said she has heard from many Alaskans concerned about the state’s future. The ongoing state budget crisis remains a key concern for many, she said.
