On this week's edition of the Covid Brief, fill-in host Josh Krohn welcomes Kenai Peninsula Borough School District spokesperson Pegge Erkeneff and Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District Executive Director Tim Dillon to discuss back-to-school issues and the emergency financial aid process.

Jenny Carroll, Information Officer for the City of Homer, Nurse Lorne Carroll from the Homer Public Health Clinic, Pegge Erkeneff from Kenai Peninsula Borough School District and Derotha Ferraro of South Peninsula Hospital discuss the latest from the Homer Unified Command and answer listener questions about COVID relief funds, the fall semester and who qualifies for a COVID test.

Graduation Day for Homer High School and Homer Flex School is Monday, May 18.
You can hear the ceremonies on KBBI.
The Flex graduation program is prerecorded and begins on KBBI at 5 p.m. Monday.
Homer High School Graduation begins at 7 p.m. 
You can also watch the Homer High ceremony and a prerecorded presentation by the teachers on the HHS You Tube Channel. 
Everyone is invited to line Pioneer Avenue after the ceremony to cheer on the graduates as they roll in procession through Homer.

Susan B. English School in Seldovia, is unexpectedly without its food service provider.
The school sent a letter to parents yesterday.
The letter reads:
"Due to lack of food service substitutes, after today, school lunch at Susan B. English School will not be available until further notice."
