Covid cases continue to rise

    On the Kenai Peninsula in the past week there have been 33 new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed. Homer led the borough with 11 new cases, followed by Kenai and Soldotna with nine each, while Seward had four, not counting non-resident seafood worker cases.

    According to figures provided by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Anchorage had the vast majority of the state’s 755 new cases with 505. Infections rose 30 percent this week.
