Vance leads Seaton as 67 percent of D31 precincts report initial results

First batch of results are in with 67 percent of House District 31 precincts reporting.. Republican nominee Sarah Vance is in the lead with 3,169 votes, that's 57 percent of votes so far. Seaton has 47 percent of votes with 2,279 votes.

 

Statewide, 18 percent of precincts are reporting for statewide and federal races. Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Dunleavy is leading Democrat Mark Begich with 52 percent of the vote so far. Begich has 47 percent currently and Gov. Bill Walker received 3 percent, though he has dropped out of the race.

 

U.S. House Rep. Don Young leads Independent Alyse Galvin with 47 percent of the vote so far.

Opponents of the controversial Ballot Measure 1 are leading with 60 percent. 

 

As of Tuesday morning, the Alaska Division of Elections received 2,193 absentee and early votes in the district.
