Anchor Point man arrested on multiple SAM counts

On February 4, 2020, the Alaska State Troopers post in Wasilla received a reported of sexual abuse of a minor by a family member. He was identified as Ronald Komakhuk, 53, of Anchor Point. 

The minor disclosed multiple incidents of sexual abuse by Komakhuk that occurred during the early morning of January 25 2020 and several other occasions that took place at a residence in Wasilla.?? Upon further investigation, it was determined that a second family member was sexually abused by Komakhuk on the same date.  

    On April 15, a Palmer court issued an arrest warrant for Komakhuk for two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the First Degree, four counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Second Degree, one count of attempted Sexual Assault in the First Degree, one count of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, and one count of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree. On Wednesday (April 15), Troopers in Anchor Point placed Komakhuk under arrest and remanded him to the Homer jail.

Based on its investigation, Troopers believe Komakhuk may have additional victims in communities across Alaska going back to the 1990s.
