For the 10th year in a row, Alaska saw more people leave than arrive, a trend that holds true for almost every borough in the state except the Kenai Peninsula; it’s been a year since the Nikiski Shelter of Hope opened its doors to serve the Kenai Peninsula’s homeless population; and ABL Space Systems confirmed that its RS-1 rocket experienced an anomaly during lift off from the Kodiak Pacific Spaceport Tuesday.

The production of the local evening newscast is made possible by the generous support of Duncan House Diner and Bay Realty.

In 2019, Hope moved to Unalaska/Dutch Harbor to work for Alaska's Energy Desk and KUCB — the westernmost public radio newsroom in the country. She has lived, worked and filed stories from California, New York, Bolivia, Peru, Cuba and Alaska.
