Yngvil Van Guttu

Yngvil is a rare show host - in more than one sense of the word. 

Perhaps KBBI's least regular filler-inner, Yngvil is nevertheless an enthusiastic and experienced voice: She was weather girl and program announcer for Norwegian TV3 for a number of years, she then oversaw transmission for global Asian TV channel Zee and later BSKYB. She loves radio and has produced radio theatre for KLEF and KRUA in Anchorage.

Yngvil earned her vast jazz knowledge and playing experience from all over the world... Herself from Norway, she's of course up on the Scandinavian jazz scene, but toured extensively in Europe, North America and South Africa as a performer, and appropriated a believable feel for the American Song book over the years since she arrived in the US. Add a recent Masters Degree in Jazz from New York and a #5 charted CD she manages to make the mark and we let her come do shows for us now and again...
