No Tsunami Expected from M5.7 Cook Inlet Quake

This afternoon's 5.7 earthquake was located to the west of Mt. Iliamna.

Quake originated just west of Mt. Iliamna.

No tsunami is expected after a strong 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Iliamna, just west of Cook Inlet. The quake, which was widely felt on the Kenai Peninsula, occurred at a depth of 89 miles, and was centered behind Mount Iliamna.
